Freedom Village

In the 1980 ' s our growth as an employment services agency mirrors need and the mentally ill de-institutionalized

Freedom Village inception was in September of 1984. A psychosocial club which follows the clubhouse model of rehabilitation, offering participants the opportunity to develop work skills and experience in the areas of food service, retail, maintenance, office, and computer. Interview preparation, resume writing, and training services are offered.

FV has held 'Dress for Success' shows. The week prior is spent on proper personal hygiene with grooming, haircuts, nails, shaving and ironing of clothing. The event is run like a fashion show and participants dress for particular job interviews and sector jobs. One participant even wore a ballroom gown to demonstrate how NOT to dress on an interview.
